“It feels like family”

To me there’s simply no higher accolade than that, because nothing means more to me than my own family. When I get together with people who collect Kinkade art – at conventions and dealer shows and especially at Collectors’ Society functions – it truly feels like family.

And that’s precisely the feeling I want to convey in Collectors’ Cottage I, my 1994 canvas created exclusively for members of the Thomas Kinkade Collectors’ Society.

This tiny cottage, nestled beside a stream, is based on a real rustic home I discovered in the English Cotswolds. To me, it’s a perfect place for friends to gather over tea and talk about favorite trips and family gatherings, about art and beauty. In short, the ideal clubhouse for Kinkade collectors!

If you look closely, you’ll see a painting in the window. It is in fact a miniature of Collectors’ Cottage I – my wish that the same warm family feeling will find a home in your house.
