Rose Gate
I’m celebrating the birth of my beautiful baby girl Winsor, with a trio of coordinated paintings portraying her romantic retreat: the Winsor Manor Collection. We enter through the floral opulence of Rose Gate, with two ancient stone columns guarding the entrance and a weathered copper plaque bears the crest of the manor: an interlocking “W&M.” The distant left wing of the great house is shrouded by lavish spring flowers.
You may want to enjoy the festive trio – Rose Gate, Winsor Manor, and Lilac Gazebo – or you may content yourself with the romantic welcome of Rose Gate. In either case, you’re a guest of the Kinkade family. Welcome.
- Thomas Kinkade has hidden seven N’s as a tribute to his wife Nanette, and also hid numerous W’s to be found in Rose Gate in honor of their youngest daughter Winsor.
- In a moving tribute to his baby girl Winsor, Thom has created the first painting in the Winsor Manor Collection: Rose Gate. This painting will soon be followed to continue and complete the series with Winsor Manor and Lilac Gazebo.
- Rose Gate depicts a charming entrance way to the manor house we see in the distance. Thom painted a delightful scene filled with lush flowers, and elegant brick walkway, and regal columns leading the way to the manor home.
- Rose Gate was painted in a palette of bright colors which can blend in well in a room decorated in either dramatic or pastel colors. With an image size of 16″ x 12,” this painting a wonderful accent painting for a large room or as a centerpiece in a small room – such as a kitchen, den, or breakfast nook.
