Hometown Chapel

If you look closely in my first painting of the Hometown Memories Series, you will see the steeple of a white chapel in the distance that forms the second subject in this series – Hometown Chapel.

This is the chapel where little girls dream of a romantic wedding with their Prince Charming, and where old men remember walking their beautiful brides down the aisle. But a church is more than just a place for weddings; it is also the spiritual center of a village – providing the light that helps guide a community as it grows and prospers. Here in the church we commemorate the landmarks that fill our own life: the celebration of marriage, the birth of a child, the commemoration of an anniversary, and even the passing of a loved one.

My hope is my Hometown Chapel painting will be a part of each of these landmarks and phases of life, shared with others as a gift – just as this painting is a gift of love from me as an artist to you as a collector.

  • In an ongoing tribute to his wife Nanette, Thomas Kinkade has hidden three N’s in Hometown Chapel.
  • Hometown Chapel is second in the Hometown Memories Collection – in fact you can see this white chapel in the first painting Hometown Memories I in the distance.
